Homage :: In 2019, the Canadian Association of Spanish Language Scholars and Creators dedicated its annual Homage and Exhibition to my work as a writer, educator and activist! I felt extremely honoured by this recognition, particularly as it came from colleagues that I respect and admire. At the same time, it reminded me once again that we artists do not work and live in a vacuum; in fact, we are embedded in and are nourished by our communities.
