Trasiego is a multilingual, participatory installation and soundscape of poetry, visual and digital art created by Dafne Blanco-Sarlay and Carmen Rodríguez –an exploration of issues related to uprooting and re-rooting, place, migration and memory, was presented at Marpole Neighbourhood House, in collaboration with the Vancouver Latin American Cultural Centre (VLACC) and the Indian Summer Festival ISM),

Homage :: In 2019, the Canadian Association of Spanish Language Scholars and Creators dedicated its annual Homage and Exhibition to my work as a writer, educator and activist! I felt extremely honoured by this recognition, particularly as it came from colleagues that I respect and admire. At the same time, it reminded me once again that we artists do not work and live in a vacuum; in fact, we are embedded in and are nourished by our communities.
